At least 8 people were killed and several injured at Astroworld Festival 2021 in Houston

At least eight people died and several were injured during mass chaos at the Travis Scott concert at the Astroworld Festival in Houston Friday night, Fire Chief Samuel Pena confirmed.

He said about two dozen people were rushed to Houston hospitals and at least 11 of them were in cardiac arrest when they were transported.

Pena said it started when the crowd began to rush toward the stage around 9:15 p.m. and people started passing out because they couldn’t breathe. Others in the crowd panicked as they tried to help those who were unconscious.

Around 9:35 p.m., Pena said a mass casualty incident was declared because there were so many victims and emergency crews were overwhelmed. More than 55 HFD units responded.

Pena said hundreds of people were treated at a field hospital set up at the scene.

  1. More than 8 died, on Dr Phil’s video, they said probably 400 people died that night, there was 50,000 people there, as if there was only 8 people dead. Condolences and prayers to the family.

  2. Perhaps Germany can see here how it is dealt with in the usa to find a guilty party. At the Love Parade in Germany where everyone knew who caused it most and there was documentation that, for example, the mayor was warned and he reacted with incomprehension. A handful of people have been charged here and none have received any punishment. I wish the relatives that this does not happen to them in the usa R.I.P

  3. I'm 5 Foot. I was stuck against a barricade during a metal festival and the pit opened right beside me. I was so scared I was gonna get crushed cause they were trying to open the pit wider and pushing into us and my ribs were hitting the metal fencing. If it wasn't for one of the pit goers speaking up and telling everyone to move i honestly would've climbed the barricade to get away. I wouldn't wish that fear and anxiety on anyone

  4. Kinda crazy all blame on him people act like animlas at these kind of things like so.eone else should be accountable too I would think

  5. Travis encourages ragers and rioters. They did what they thought he wanted. He is the only one they would listen to he could have told them to back up like any other rockstar has in the past. Concerts need to have life guards just like a beach or swimming pool. Scouts to keep an eye on things. Also the radios should be heard in case of an emergency. Officials couldn't communicate. The mosh pits were sectioned off so everyone was fenced in. At an outdoor metal show the crowd has alot of slack to move around in and back up if need be. This was set up like a sacrificial altar with people crammed in like sardines. Too many non-ticket holders got in. Travis also supports the "wild ones" that break in and start problems. His entire ensemble and energy were the base ingredients for this recipe of horrors.

  7. This is the type of thing you expect from kindergartners waiting in line pushing and shoving to go back into the classroom except you’re not allowed to go in yet because the teacher isn’t there but they push and shove anyway. I should know because my entire class did so. every. single. day.

  8. The city of Houston did not learn from the redflags of this guy's concerts in the past, they should also be sued

  9. Cancel all of these fools. They don’t care about you, me, our kids. The Kardashians and Jenners have done enough damage in this world! Travis is a demonic loser. Cancel them all.

  10. It's terrible that they kept playing.
But if you were one of the ignorant, evil people violently pushing forward, or the ones jabbing random people in the neck with opioids, you are just as guilty of these poor people's deaths. I hope it haunts them.

  11. Crowd rush is for when groups of people can’t afford the tickets so the just rush cause you can’t arrest 1000 people

  12. They should've stopped the show from the beginning we have other concerts in Houston and this NEVER HAPPENS TRAVIS SCOTT JUST MADE HOUSTON LOOK GHETTO AND DISGRACEFUL
